Deutsch calls former police officer, military wife, and mother of two a 'women
of integrity' 'dedicated to ensuring our children receive a top notch
education'
The Yesli Vega campaign for Supervisor is excited to announce the endorsement of the Coles District’s representative to the county school board, Willie Deutsch.
In his endorsement of Vega, school board member Deutsch said,
“I am excited to support Yesli Vega for Coles District
Supervisor, and will be dedicated to helping her win the Republican nomination
on May 4th. She will be an honest and transparent supervisor who we can rely on
to advocate for the residents of Coles District.
For years, Prince William County Schools have been dealing
with the negative impacts of overdevelopment in the county: trailers,
overcrowded classrooms, strained student services. While we’ve worked hard and
are in the process of eliminating approximately 40% of the trailers at our
schools, Prince William County has a choice to make about the future.
We must protect the rural crescent, attract businesses to
the county, diversify our tax base, and oppose the kind of overdevelopment that
has lead to increased traffic and overcrowded schools. Yesli Vega will be a
champion for our district that I look forward to working with as our next
Supervisor.
As a mother of two children in Prince William County Public
Schools she is dedicated to ensuring our children receive a top-notch
education. She understands just how precious our tax dollars are and will make
sure they are not being wasted when they should be spent in the classroom
achieving results for our students.
As a former police officer and county sheriff's deputy,
nobody can question her commitment to service and love for our community.
Indeed, she's already put her life on the line every day to protect it.
Finally, Yesli will be a champion for our shared
conservative values. She will work hard to lower our taxes, oppose government
waste, champion small businesses, and oppose the radical liberal social agenda
that distracts us from getting real results for our community. At the core of
any elected official is their character, and Yesli Vega is a woman of
integrity. She will listen to everyone, and you can trust that her word is
true.
I’m excited to support
Yesli Vega for the Republican nomination
for Coles District Supervisor, and look forward to
serving with her next year for
our district. I hope everyone will join me in
supporting Yesli Vega for
Coles District Supervisor on May 4th at
Benton Middle
School."
In response to the endorsement, Vega commented, “Willie has been a voice of reason and common sense on the county school board during a period of unfortunate division and partisan rancor.
In response to the endorsement, Vega commented, “Willie has been a voice of reason and common sense on the county school board during a period of unfortunate division and partisan rancor.
While the majority has seemingly had more interest in
extreme, far-left social engineering than the actual education of our students
Willie has been an ideal member who has always put our students and fiscal
discipline first.
Like him, I look forward to being a
servant for all in the Coles District and working alongside him to provide our
children in Prince William County with a first-class education. I am honored to
have his support."
With his endorsement, Deutsch joins county conservatives
like former Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, Supervisor Jeanine Lawson, former
state Delegate and pro-life champion, Bob and Cathy Marshall, in addition to
former Prince William County Republican Party Chairman, Dottie Miller in
supporting Vega’s campaign for Coles District Supervisor.
Registered Coles District voters may participate in the May 4th Republican Firehouse Primary at Benton Middle School, 7411 Hoadly Road, Manassas, VA, 20112. Polls will be open between 10am-3pm.
